Doug Waters, who creates under the pseudonym Double U Art, in a native of Bird City, KS. His 1000+ deep roster of collages filled the 409 Art space. Staying home during the pandemic sparked an interest in spreading a lot of information using a couple words, and out of that was born this body of work. Deemed "the coolest thing in Manhattan" during its time in our space, Doug is always on the look out for the next place to display his work. Kelly Yarbrough’s art was up in the Midtown Art Space in Downtown Manhattan for the months of April and May. This show was the first one in the new space, and Kelly filled the space on her own. Kelly has a MFA in drawing from Kansas State University and her work is influenced by the prairie and Flint Hills near her chosen home. Flavio Matsuo is a Brazilian born graduate of Pacific Northwest College of Art where he got a BFA in painting and studied under Filipino painter Carlos Villa at San Francisco Art Institute. Flavio has over 20 years experience working with mixed media, film, video, and painting. Flavio has also been a member of the BLD and Mississippi:May art collectives where he has curated group shows with national and international artists. He has shown his work in galleries and pop up creative spaces in Washington, Oregon, California, Ohio, New York, and Philadelphia. Flavio can be reached through his email at: lbrazi0@yahoo.com.
